Klaus Devore Introductory Comments:
This is a remix of a song by a band from the 1980s called Blue Party. It is likely that you will never have heard of them. This is probably because they did not secure a record deal. Getting a record deal in the 1980s was critical if a band wanted to have any chance to grow their fanbase beyond a local following. Thankfully, Blue Party were able to record some demos - one of which was a song called "Wednesdays" written by John Diamond. With John's agreement, I have extracted his vocal from the original demo and created a new instrumental backing track. The original version of this song was recorded 40 years ago and can be found on youtube using the link below.

Band Biography provided by John Diamond:
Blue Party was formed in Deeside North Wales in 1982. Band members were John Diamond (Vocal/Guitar/keys) Chris McDade (Bass) & Tony Goia (Drums) later to be joined by Guitarist Brian Leach and Ian Paul on keys.

They performed live in several venues in North Wales and the North West of England. Highlights were Angels Nightclub in Chester (once in support of The Action Transfers), Wepre Park Open Air Festival, Shotton Civic Hall, and Wrexham College Students Union. And smaller pub and club venues. They had a strong local following. Demos were recorded locally in a studio run by Welsh Band Y Brodyr Y Ffin and produced by David Baynton-Powers who later became drummer for Manchester band James! Dave also played percussion on one of Blue Parties demos. John left the band on good terms in 1985. The band continued under a new line up for a couple of years after that but no further information is available.
